“there is a magnificent refuge inside of you. Enter…..”
About the Event:
Immerse yourself in a day of deep rest and healing while discovering the power of this ancient, traditional practice – both for you and your students. Together we’ll deepen our personal experience and understanding of Yoga Nidra and its capacity to restore and heal the mind-body. The tools and techniques that Ali will share will become an invaluable part of how you can add this technique to your teaching repertoire; from how to bring students into a state of focus and holding a safe space, to the practicalities of integrating Yoga Nidra effectively into a class setting, one-to-one’s and speciality interest groups (e.g. Recovery Groups).
What to Expect
The workshop will cover:
- A brief history of Yoga Nidra and an overview of its modern-day application
- The different stages of a full Nidra practice, and explore how and when to craft a personal practice for students
- The potent power of breath and body sensing, and how this can be woven into all your teachings
- Yoga Nidra as a support mechanism for the whole body; emotionally, physically and mentally
- Tips on non-dogmatic language and how to create inclusivity for vulnerable students
In addition, the workshop will help you to explore how Yoga Nidra will deepen and support your own practice.
Learning materials supplied; a recording and a practice script. The workshop qualifies for 5 CPD points.
Who’s it for?
The workshop is designed for yoga teachers, trainee teachers, and bodyworkers (Physiotherapists, chiropractors, osteopaths). Dedicated Yoga Nidra students are also very welcome and would enjoy the opportunity to learn more than is possible in a regular Deep Relaxation session.
