This Teaching Immersion into Yin Yoga creates space to explore the practice and experience of Yin yoga. Yin Yoga is a complementary yoga practice to the more dynamic and invigorating yoga styles that are predominant today.
In this Immersion, we will explore:
- Yin Sequencing
- Understanding the use of props and modifications in teaching Yin
- Deeper teaching skills of language usage and holding space
- The history and concepts of Yin Yoga, Chinese Meridian Theory
- Explore fascia and skeletal variations in Yin Meditation practices.
The course includes a mixture of experiential Yin Practice, lectures, group discussions and teaching practice exercises – ensuring you to go away armed with everything you need to teach this wonderful and hugely popular style of yoga.
Each day will include experiential Yin Practice as well as Meditation Practices. You will be encouraged to start your own daily Meditation practice during the course as well as to make personal diary notes of your meditation.
24 contact hours
12 hour reading, research and DVD viewing
14 hours to include assignment, “om” work between training days, Yin practice, observation and/or teaching of Yin classes
Teaching Yin Yoga Training Accreditation
On completion of the course, graduates will receive a 50hr Whitespace Teaching Yin Certificate of Attendance. Training hours can be used for Yoga Alliance or British Wheel continuing education (e.g. CPD points)

Dawn is a Senior Yoga Teacher (YAP) with over 19 years of teaching experience and many more years as a yoga practitioner in a wide range of yoga traditions.
She has been a Tutor in the Teacher Training Faculty since 2012 and is known for her supportive, practical and informative approach to training. She provides Teacher Training across the spectrum, from Foundation Courses for new teachers to qualified yoga teachers who want to expand their knowledge and skills.
Her journey with Yin Yoga started many years ago, and she has studied extensively with internationally renowned teachers in this area, including Sarah Powers.

Leaving the Training
It is our aim and policy to facilitate anyone who may be experiencing difficulties either with the training or in other areas of their life so they are able to complete the course. However, we understand that in some circumstances this is not possible and students have no choice other than to leave the course. In this instance, we will be unable to give you a certificate or graduate you from the training, and your course fees cannot be refunded.
