Supple hips can ease back pain, help with more agile movement and even improve circulation in your legs. We also hold a lot of emotion in our hips, so learning how to open them gives you the opportunity to release long-held emotions and feelings that may have been stored there.
In this workshop, we will explore the biomechanics of hip opening through a variety of poses that will move your ball and socket hip joint through its full range of motion, giving you access to more freedom in the body. We will work with mindfulness of the breath, especially in some of the longer held Yin poses and connect to how these poses correspond to the ‘Energy Body’.
Following a delicious hip opening sequence, the workshop will wrap up with a meditation and deep relaxation, leaving you feeling more spacious in the mind and body. During this session Amy will focus on a ‘Hips Home Practice’, also providing you with a step-by-step guide to take home.
