Come and spend an evening with us watching and discussing the thought provoking and unforgettable movie Cowspiracy: the sustainability secret.
Cowspiracy: The Sustainability Secret is a 2014 documentary film which explores the impact of animal agriculture on the environment, and investigates the policies of environmental organizations on this issue. The film looks at various environmental concerns, including global warming, water use, deforestation, and ocean dead zones, and suggests that animal agriculture is the primary source of environmental destruction.
Film director Kip Anderson presents a plethora of jaw-dropping facts and statistics on how humanity’s dependency on meat and dairy is one of the leading contributors to climate change, and why no one wants to talk about it!
We’d love you to join us afterwards for a discussion and Q&A about how the movie has or is challenging you to look at your own food perceptions.
What to Expect
Cowspiracy runs for 85 minutes and provides a fascinating topic for David to host the discussion afterwards about sustainable options.
There will be yummy, vegan snacks to fuel interesting discussion, whilst we get comfortable with bolsters and blankets. Please feel free to bring along your own mats, pillows and cushions, as well as your own snacks.
Who’s it For?
Open to everyone, so bring along friends and family! The film is rated for ages 13+ (commonsensemedia.org), and promotes the strengths of compassion, courage and curiosity.
