Kid-run yoga classes for stressed-out parents 🧘 (April Fools)

Whitespace Studio is today launching a new kid-run yoga class for stressed-out parents. The weekly class will be run by children aged six and seven, who have recently completed their Junior Yoga Teacher Training Course.

The new Kids-Supporting-Parents Yoga Class will take place every Friday at 5pm. The classes have been launched following the success of Whitespace Studio’s Mindfulness for Kids course which launched in September 2018.

Research confirms that inter-generational experiences can transform the physical, social and emotional wellbeing of both parties, as demonstrated in Channel 4’s hit show Old People’s Home for 4 Year Olds.

“Kids can be our greatest teachers.  We have appointed these kids to teach because they have a natural ability to stay present and in the moment. We want parents to learn this skill of how to not sweat the small stuff, and to deal with stress in a light and playful way using yoga and mindfulness.”

“Kids can be fearless. Having these younger teachers in charge can teach us how to take risks, try something new and let go of what other people think.  There’s also a certain purity in a child’s voice and thinking that will help our students to experience a truly calm and safe environment. No previous experience of yoga is necessary – all you need is an open mind.”
