Natalja – Office Administrator / Finance Assistant

Name…
Natalja

My favourite way to spend my free time is…
Walking with my dog, walking with my kids, walking along a sandy beach, walking in the park, walking in the forest, picking wild mushrooms. You get the idea – I like walking! I also like cooking, listening to music and singing along, dancing around the house, playing with my two kids, travelling & visiting new places, meeting new people and catching up with good old friends.

The things I love most are
My kids, partner, parents and family – they are my world (including my dog, of course!)

The reason I first came to yoga is…
I found this job and yoga found me! Or life gave me a kick and brought me here.

The next step on my yoga journey is…
Completing the beginners’ yoga course. My yoga journey has only just started, so I decided to do it properly have enrolled onto Introduction to Yoga course, along with attending classes regularly. I’ll see where it takes me from there…

The special quality I bring to Whitespace is…
Coming up with the ideas and working hard, yet still having fun and laughing a lot!

My favourite thing about working here is…
Feeling welcome and at home – where else can you work with no shoes on?! 😊

What’s your favourite pose and why?
Child’s Pose (Balasana). I push myself hard both on the yoga mat and in life and although there is a great sense of satisfaction and fulfilment finishing more challenging asanas. With a true resting pose you give your mind and body some well-deserved relaxation and awareness of all the hard work you’ve done.

The biggest thing Yoga has taught you?
Being strong is good, being able to multi task is good, but sometimes you need to simply step back to be able to move forward again, let it go and concentrate on one thing to be able to see a bigger picture. Stop…, breath…, feel the moment…and life is good again! Or at least you can see the way to make it better…

A fun fact about me…
I like associating people with car makes and often guess what someone’s driving. For instance, I’m Audi Q5 (although not driving one at the moment 😊) – family friendly, quick and reliable, yet elegant & a bit cheeky when winking its turn signal. Which one are you?
