We have designed classes to meet the needs of everyone – no matter what your experience or ability – helping you to get the most out of every class. No one should feel inhibited from joining any class, however, we do want you to be safe. We recommend before joining or moving ‘up’ a class, check with our frontdek advisors or your teacher to make sure the class is suitable. Please be sure to let your teacher know before class if you have any form of injury or serious illness, or if you are pregnant or have recently had a baby
for all students (except complete beginners) – from those who have the basics in place, to those with more experience. The teacher will adapt the class to suit the levels of experience of the students, offering adjustments and options to tone down a posture or take it to the next level – so perfect for all ages and levels of fitness. Every student is encouraged to work to their own ability and limits.
Level 1: Discover!
our Introductory level classes are powerful, learning experiences in which you will literally re-discover your body, how it works, and what it can do. All Level 1 classes are designed to give you time and support to understand the proper alignment of asanas (postures) and breathing techniques. You will begin by focusing on the basics, but it won’t stop there. Level 1 is always exciting because in every class you learn and do something new. Level 1 class teachers are experts at helping you master form, understand how to breathe, and help you build confidence for the next stage.
Level 1-2: Explore!
suitable for those who have the basics in place – if you’ve done a few classes or simply want to develop their knowledge and understanding. These classes continue to emphasise the fundamentals while presenting the poses and sequencing the class in a more challenging way. Level 1-2 teachers are experts at ensuring more difficult positions are practiced safely and effectively. Be prepared to work and learn at this level. We recommend this level for anyone in their first year, looking to explore!
Level 2: Experience!
these classes introduce a wider range of postures and breathing techniques, working at a level where you will expand on your strength, stamina and flexibility as you begin to explore more challenging poses (including inversions and backbends) and more demanding sequences. Level 2 classes will help you take your practice to a whole new level. We recommend you have 2 years of solid practice under your mat. Enjoy the experience!
Level 2-3: Expand!
for more experienced students who wish to master the more physically demanding postures, as well as challenging sequences and variations. The pace of these classes is faster, you will go deeper, and your teacher will help you achieve breakthroughs in your practice and your self-awareness. We recommend you have 2 – 3 years of solid practice under your mat before you join 2-3 classes. Expect to be transformed.
mixed level, suitable for all INCLUDING complete beginners to those more experienced students. Perfect for all ages, abilities and levels of fitness. Offering adjustments and options to tone down a posture or take it to the next level. Every student is encouraged to work to their own ability and limits.
