Welcome to the Whitespace Advanced Yoga and Teacher Training programme. Our annual intake for Autumn 2013 is now open for applications.
Whether you are just starting out on your journey to become a teacher, seeking to enhance your teaching skills or simply wish to develop your personal practice, our Advanced Yoga and Teacher Training program will provide you with the tools to enrich your practice and teach authentically, grounded both in self-awareness and experiential knowledge.
The Whitespace Advanced Yoga and Teacher Training Program is one of the most thorough, current, and hands-on teacher training programs in the area. This training will immensely deepen your understanding and practice of yoga, provides a qualification to start teaching and develop your skills as a yoga teacher.
Duration + Location
This course is spead out over 12 months to give you time to experience and really enjoy this learning curve in your life. The course is led by the Whitespace Founder and Director Deborah Berryman - a British Wheel of Yoga and Yoga Alliance certified Senior Yoga Teacher (SYT). Yoga Alliance UK have the highest standards of teaching, and SYT status is the pinnacle of the yoga teacher career path combining training and experience. Deborah is joined by Dawn Wright, a highly regarded, experienced and qualified teacher with the British Wheel of Yoga.

All of the course dates are held at our beautiful, light filled dedicated yoga studios in Milton Keynes - the perfect environment to immerse yourself in this wonderful practice and share experiences with like-minded people.
Content + Structure
Our program is run over three separate modules. The first two modules are building blocks for deepening your knowledge of yoga and are open to all, with the final one aimed to those wishing to go on and become a certified yoga teacher.
Foundation I & II and the Teacher Training I have been designed to take the student/trainee teacher on a journey through three stages to deepen their yoga studies, leaving time for absorption and practice between each phase. Each module delivers a high-level technical skill set and cutting edge anatomical education, and also offers a profound, life-changing, and transformative experience. The modules are unique and each bring something new and exciting to your practice, knowledge and awareness.
Foundation I - A Deep Exploration of Asana (8 days)
Foundation II - Exploring the Inner Landscape (6 days)
Teacher Training I - From Student to Teacher and beyond (10 days)
Accreditation
Once you have successfully completed all three modules, graduates will receive:-
- The Whitespace 200 Hour Diploma in Teaching Yoga
- Eligibility for entry to Yoga Alliance Accreditation RYT 200
- Eligibility for entry to UK REPs (Register of Exercise Professionals) for REPS Level 3
If you are training to become a yoga teacher then it is essential to complete the modules in the suggested order above.
Places are limited to between 12-16 students ensure the best standard of training, and providing a personal and supportive learning experience. Students are welcome to pay for each module separately, or for multiple modules with a discount - see our Investment and Dates section for more details. All applications and investments are subject to acceptance on to the training course(s).
