Our booking policy:
Once you’ve registered with us, all classes are drop-in (except courses and workshops) so no need to book – just turn-up, roll out your mat and enjoy the class! All classes are on a first come first served basis, so if you can, please arrive 5-10 minutes early to find a space, prepare yourself and notify your teacher of any injuries/operations/pregnancy.
Class Passes are a great way to buy classes at a discounted rate, available to those who have committed to a regular practice. Passes cannot be extended, refunded or transferred, so before committing to a Class Pass, we recommend that you plan for and attend the paid number of sessions to get the most out of the discounted offer. All passes will be automatically extended if Whitespace Studio is closed for holidays.
Spaces on our courses and workshops are limited and therefore must be pre-booked and pre-paid. Spaces are confirmed upon payment. Before committing to a course or workshop, please ensure you can attend the scheduled number of sessions to get the most out of the programme. We cannot offer refunds or rollovers for students who are unable to attend some or all of the classes on their course due to illness, work, family or other reasons. Thank you for your understanding.
Our cancellation policy:
We kindly ask that you give us at least 48 hours advance notice to cancel private classes, or 14 days to cancel or reschedule a workshop, course or programme. We will then offer you a full refund, and a replacement class. It would be greatly appreciated, if you have to cancel an appointment or course that you give us as much notice as possible so we can give your session or place to another client.
We regret that no refund or transfer can be given for any private classes cancelled within 48 hours or any workshop or course cancelled within 14 days. If a course or workshop is cancelled you will be offered either a refund or the option of being transferred to an alternative event. Before committing to a course or workshop, please ensure you can attend the scheduled number of sessions to get the most out of the programme.
All bookings are non-exchangeable. Class Passes are non-exchangeable and non-refundable. See our frequently asked questions for more information.
Whitespace Studio reserves the right to amend this policy at its sole discretion.
Our payment system:
We require advanced payment for all private classes, courses and workshops. We accept cash, cheques, debit/credit card payments via Paypal and bank transfers. Advanced payment is not required for our Drop In classes.
Our thank you system:
Personal recommendation has always been a huge help for us , so we would like to thank you for all your kind words by offering you a FREE drop-in yoga or pilates class when a friend or colleague books with us. Please contact our front desk to claim your free class. Terms and conditions apply.
Important information:
Yoga is very safe and all of our teachers are fully trained and insured to provide the best and safest teaching. We do ask that you take responsibility for your own health and care. Please listen to your body and respect it. Your ability may vary from session to session depending on your state of well-being, fitness, tiredness and/or stress levels. Work in a way that feels right for you on any given day. Pain is the body's warning system and should not be ignored.
Please advise us before commencing any session if, for any reason, your health or your ability to exercise changes (i.e. muscle soreness, joint pain, pulled muscles, minor injuries etc). Please inform your teacher immediately if you feel any discomfort during a session. Please also inform the teacher if you felt any discomfort after a previous session.
If you feel unwell (head cold, dizziness, sickness etc) it would be prudent not to attend class. This is primarily for your safety and well-being (your powers of concentration and performance levels may be below par and however slight, there is an increased risk of injury) and also in consideration for the comfort, well-being and health of other members in the class.
As with all forms of physical exercise, it is prudent to consult your doctor before starting. The sessions are not a substitute for medical counselling or treatment. If you have any doubts about the suitability of Yoga, you should refer back to your medical practitioner.
If you’re new to Yoga, it is not advisable to do Yoga between weeks during the first trimester of pregnancy, unless by special arrangement with your teacher. It is also wise to wait six weeks after the birth before resuming exercise.
The teacher can accept no liability for personal injury related to participation in a session if:
• your doctor has, on health grounds, advised you against such exercise.
• you fail to observe instructions on safety or technique.
• such injury is caused by the negligence of another participant in the class/studio.
It is advisable to drink water during and after sessions to re-hydrate the body and to help flush out toxins that may have been released by your body as a result of the exercise programme. Increasing your water intake (6-8 large glasses per day) will also help to promote and improve your general health and well-being.
I understand that Yoga involves hands-on (tactile) correction and I hereby consent for my teacher to work in this way.
By completing this form, I confirm that I have read and understood the above advice and that the information I have provided is correct.
