Bring your baby with you to regain your strength and energy after childbirth. Enjoy the community of other new moms while in a comfortable setting where you may feed or change your baby as needed. Designed for newborns to crawlers.

Our Mummy & Baby yoga focuses on restoring tone, strength and align your body as well as relax and nourish you and your baby. This precious time provides continuation in building a unique relationship between you and your baby. You will be practising suitable and specific yoga sequences to help you maintain well-being, energise, restore and relax your body and mind. All of the postures can be practiced with or without your baby, depending on how you prefer to focus. At any one time babies may be watching, joining in, sleeping or feeding. Yoga provides a wonderful resource for you and your baby that allows you to deal positively with stress, and encourage mindful relaxation in your role as a mother.

Classes are suitable for newborn to mobile babies (up to 14months), in a warm and friendly atmosphere, promoting enjoyment and confidence in the handling of your baby and in ways of relating to them. Babies have open hearts and minds and are ready to embrace new experiences. The shared experience for both parent and baby encourages early bonding and creates a secure and happy foundation of well-being. We see the development of mutual respect and understanding and the expression of pleasure and delight.

What the classes cover

Classes include baby yoga and massage for overall strengthening and development. Postnatal yoga is included for Mums - a balance of stretching, strengthening and relaxing sequences - and each class finishes with a joint relaxation for parent and baby.

Dads are very welcome too and will benefit equally from the yoga and the interaction with their baby. There is time for discussion and to make new friendships. Many parents and babies meet afterwards in the cafe for coffee or lunch. A wonderful opportunity to find the support you may need through the first months and to have some fun with your baby too!
