Yoga is for everyone; men, women, kids and teens through to seniors, mothers-to-be and new mums. Taking your first step onto the yoga mat is an exciting new beginning. Building a solid foundation is the most important part of your yoga practice.
Yoga is the ultimate exercise and method of self improvement, combing Mind (calm mental/emotional focus), Energy (life-force cultivation through breathing), and Body (movement and postures). Our Beginners Yoga Course is the ideal (but not the only) way to begin your practice - designed for students with little or no experience. Here you will be alongside other beginners, discovering yoga in a safe and fun space.
In this course, you will be introduced to some of the fundamental yoga poses concentrating on healthy alignment and establishing a deeper awareness of your breathing. Instruction in meditation and relaxation techniques will also be given. Some of the many benefits of yoga include: improvement in posture and breathing, increased tone, strength and flexibility, a greater ability to cope with stress and a feeling of calm. The practice builds week by week, providing a solid foundation and inspiring you for any of whitespace yoga's Open and Level 1-2 classes.
Our 6 week course is ideal for those who prefer time to practice in between each session. Or our Weekend Courses are perfect for those who are short of time and full of enthusiasm.
